The Product Manager’s role at Ippon is diverse and grants the opportunity to take on engagements and responsibilities across discovery, delivery, and coaching. 

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have great logic and problem-solving skills, and a drive to make a difference. This person will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy, development, and execution of new digital products, services and/or platforms centered around user experience.

What you will do:

  • Conduct discovery, research, and establish delivery plans (short and long-term)
  • Learn and adapt quickly to become an expert on the client product and customer needs
  • Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments and communicate highly technical information in a manner that is business friendly
  • Blend big picture thinking with fine details and manage many stakeholders
  • Creatively propose solutions to complex, time-critical problems
  • Identify and manage risks and issues while keeping all appropriate parties properly informed and assist with quick resolution
  • Actively manage scope and be comfortable saying “no” or “not right now” for the sake of delivering value in iterations
  • Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive decisions
  • Keep engineering teams focused on the highest priorities and influence without direct authority
  • Navigate and negotiate even when there is political sensitivity and conflicting interests for the sake of delivering great solutions
  • Coach clients on product management best practices and product culture

Knowledge & Experience to be successful

  • 5 + years experience in product or project management
  • Deep knowledge of the banking industry is required including digital experience with retail banking, payments and/or cash management products for consumer accounts and small/medium sized businesses.
  • Understanding of fintech trends and the banking ecosystem
  • Experience with solving problems through technology and ability to make decisions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, driven by results for the business stakeholders
  • Attention to details. Mention the word ‘pineapple’, in your interview
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with outstanding listening abilities
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Trello, Miro
