We are seeking an attorney with experience in consumer financial product regulation to assist with the development and implementation of technology that enhances the consumer experience.  The position will be based in our San Francisco headquarters, located in the heart of the Financial District.

Responsibilities

    • Advise product teams in the development of innovative new products and the implementation of technological solutions
    • Work with business and compliance partners to develop, implement, and improve policies and procedures as the company grows
    • Research state and federal laws, rules, and regulations in connection with product offerings
    • Manage outside counsel
    • Assist the business and compliance team members in resolving issues with banking partners  
    • Negotiate third-party vendor agreements

Skills

      • At least 5 – 8 years of experience advising on consumer financial products
      • Experience advising on compliance with federal and state consumer financial regulations. Consumer lending, privacy, and/or payments experience 
      • Previous work in-house at a financial services company preferred
      • Understanding of state licensing and exams is a plus
      • Member in good standing of the State Bar of California or eligible for in-house exception
